Sand Martins Golf Club Charity Day Supports Crossroads Care Wokingham
Sand Martins Golf Club has chosen Crossroads Care Wokingham as its Captains Charity this year. One of the highlights was the Charity day held on 8 July with golf competitions in the day and an auction in the evening. A huge thank you to both the Lady Captain and the Men’s Captain as well as all the club members who not only worked behind the scene tirelessly but also bid for the auction items generously. The money raised will be used to provide the precious Me Time to the unpaid carers, enabling them to enjoy life whilst caring.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Wokingham Lions Club for their generous donation of £1,000 received by Catherina Tam, CEO of Crossroads Care Wokingham, on 22 March 2017. The donation will be used to offer carers some extra ‘Me Time’ to enjoy life alongside their caring responsibilities.

Corpus Christi Parish Panto Group
Caring is a rewarding but also stressful role. Many of our carers are on call 24/7 without any breaks. Thank you ever so much to the Panto Group who has raised an amazing amount of £1050 to support our unpaid carers to have some extra precious breaks.
The cheque was presented to Catherina Tam, CEO of Crossroads Care Wokingham, on 18 February 2017 by the panto casts, ‘Babes in the Wood’.
Herrington Carmichael LLP
We are most grateful to Herrington Carmichael solicitors for their generous charitable giving of £2,500 received in September 2016. The funding will allow us to provide 125 respite hours to support those carers who care for their love ones with life limiting illnesses, giving them the most precious breaks during their difficult times.
Marks & Spencer Wokingham
Our sincere thanks go to Marks & Spencer Wokingham for choosing us as its Charity of the Year 2015/16 from which we received £1,600.30 in May 2016 and subsequently £990.93 in August 2016. The funding is used for our special project to support carers of people with life limiting illnesses. Our internal statistic shows that 34% of our carers care for a love one with life limiting illnesses. This has severe impact on their well – being both physically and emotionally. With the funding we are able to give them some precious time to themselves and to reduce their stresses.
Our sincere thanks go to the Goodwill Committee of Airinmar Ltd who has raised an amazing amount of £1622 over the last few months. The fund is to offer carers of people with dementia an extended break to reduce their stresses and have some ’Me Time’ to be away from their caring roles.
The Cheque was presented to Catherina Tam, CEO of Crossroads Care Wokingham, on 8 June 2016 by Jonathan Last, Chair of the Goodwill Committee, Airinmar Ltd.
